Shadrack Sibiya’s bail application has taken another dramatic turn — and today’s proceedings went far beyond the question of whether he should simply be released on bail. At the centre of the hearing is the State’s argument that Sibiya could interfere with or intimidate witnesses if released. The defence, however, is challenging that narrative and pointing to communications involving Mr M, Sibiya’s family and other individuals. One of the biggest revelations was the emergence of Apostle Clive, who was described during the proceedings as an intermediary between Mr M and members of Sibiya’s family. Apostle Clive is also associated with Shepherd Bushiri’s ECG church, adding another unexpected dimension to the story. According to what was presented in court, Mr M allegedly wanted Apostle Clive to facilitate discussions with Sibiya’s family. The proceedings also heard about an alleged R300,000 financial dispute, which the defence is using to question Mr M’s motives and his continued attempts to communicate with the family. But that was only the beginning. The court also heard allegations attributed to Mr M that he has “files on top of files” concerning Shadrack Sibiya. According to the evidence presented, Mr M allegedly claimed to possess photographs, footage and other material concerning Sibiya’s alleged connections to Vusumuzi “Cat” Matlala, Brown Mogotsi, politicians and information relating to people who allegedly disappeared. These claims have not been established as fact and are discussed in this video strictly in the context in which they arose during the bail proceedings. Meanwhile, statements relied upon by the defence introduced another major allegation: that Mr M may have been influenced or pressured by senior SAPS figures, including Lt-Gen Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi and Lt-Gen Dumisani Khumalo. So who is putting pressure on whom? The State is concerned about alleged witness interference if Sibiya is released. The defence, on the other hand, is pointing to Mr M’s communications with Sibiya’s family, the alleged R300K dispute and claims of outside influence. In this episode, we unpack today’s courtroom proceedings, the Apostle Clive/Bushiri connection, the R300K issue, the allegations involving Mkhwanazi and Khumalo, and Mr M’s extraordinary claim that he has “files on top of files.” #ShadrackSibiya #SibiyaBail #MrM #ApostleClive #ShepherdBushiri #Bushiri #ECGChurch #NhlanhlaMkhwanazi #DumisaniKhumalo #VusumuziMatlala #CatMatlala #BrownMogotsi #SAPS #SouthAfrica #CourtNews #CrimeNews #RulesAndRulers Timestamps: 00:00 Introduction - Bushiri's Pastor a Mediator between Sibiya's Family and Mr M 03:24 Main Issue is INTIMIDATION OF WITNESSES 06:27 Sizakele Dlamini's Statement - Introduction to Apostle Clive 11:53 General Nhlanhla Mkhwanazi and Khumalo's Pressure towards Mr M 14:05 Sibiya's wife & Mr M's Communication- Are there Threats? 18:09 Mr M Files on top of Files Against Sibiya 20:37 Mr M wants the R300 000 of the Bakkie 23:36 Sibiya's Strict Bail Condition 26:37 Informed Consent 28:23 Connection between Bushiri, Apostle Clive & Shadrack Sibiya 31:47 Conclusion: Why is it more like a Trial than Bail?
