Let's Butcher our opponents with some Dreadhorde Hardened Scales in Pioneer!

In my continuing journey to make Dreadhorde Butcher into a feared and respected threat in multiple formats, I give you Hardened Scales! Hardened Scales is known for its power in artifact decks along with creatures like Hangarback Walker, Patchwork Automaton and Stonecoil Serpent (who makes an appearance in our list!), but its synergy is also wonderful with the Butcher! Scales turns the scary factor of Butcher up to 11, turning a must answer threat into a must must answer threat that chunks our opponents when it hits in combat and also when it dies! It's lights out if it can stick around and get in for a few attacks! We'll stack up Scales effects (including Winding Constrictors and new Ozoliths) with Riot effects from Rhythm of the Wild (another fav of mine!) and Gruul Spellbreaker to make sure the +1 counters keep dropping and copying! With all of the amazing Jund interaction at our disposal, we should have no trouble getting our Butchers in until they become game winning threats. That's the plan anyway! But as, the saying goes, plans rarely survive contact with the enemy and Pioneer is pretty rough these days. Still, it's some janky fun, and we've got do our part to make Nicky B. proud!
