Taiwanese Hot Dog (Taiwanese Sausage with Rice Sausage) 大腸包小腸

Today we are making one of my most favorite night market snack —Taiwanese hot dog, which consists of a Taiwanese sausage inside of a rice sausage. Ingredients: (Makes about 4 rice sausages) - 2 cups glutinous rice - water for soaking rice 1 tbsp dried shrimp (optional) - 1/4 cup cooked boiled peanuts - 1 tbsp pork grease (lard) - pig intestines (cleaned and cut to roughly 8 inches) - cooking string 1/2 cup soy sauce 1/4 cup rice wine 1/4 tsp sugar - 1/2 tsp five spice powder a dash of white pepper - 1/2 cup of fried shallots Assembling Hot Dog -premade Taiwanese sausage -chopped pickled mustard greens - crushed roasted peanuts -cilantro (optional garnish) -slivered cucumber Sauce -1 tbsp minced garlic -1 tbsp soy sauce paste -2 tbsp sweet chili sauce Garnish for Assembling Hot Dog: -slivered cucumbers -chopped Taiwanese Pickled mustard green -sauce (2 part sweet chili sauce + 1 part soy sauce paste + 1 tsp minced garlic) -crushed peanuts -cilantro Shop the Perfect Pot at https://fromourplace.com/products/per...
