Art Store Tour and Haul - Rochester Art Supply

I knew our hearts would be broken when we lost our cat Zoe and I always thought we would need to get away for a couple of days. So we packed up the next day and went south to Buffalo and then meandered to Rochester. It was only when we were there that I remembered there was an art store that I had been meaning to visit. While looking at Henri Roché soft pastels online, I found thefineartstore.com and their bricks and mortar store is, you guessed it, Rochester Art Supply. I don't think I grasped how big their selection of soft pastels would be. I've never seen anything like it and I have been to some huge art supply stores in North America and Europe. Even my husband was astounded and kept opening all the drawers full of the colours of the rainbow from brands like Sennelier, Schmincke, Unison, Richeson but also more artisanal ones like J. Luda, Girault, Roché, Diane Townsend, Mount Vision etc. But don't worry, I did a tour of the whole store and there were so many things I hadn't seen before.
