What did he see beyond an age of endless war? Rising from Owari and advancing to Gifu, Nobunaga raised the banner of Tenka Fubu and marched toward Kyoto. Fierce on the battlefield, a destroyer of old conventions— yet also a man drawn to tea, Noh, and beauty. A god? A demon king? An ogre? Or simply a man? “TENKA FUBU” is an original song and visual story by WAKON, inspired by the history of Oda Nobunaga and figures such as Hashiba Hideyoshi and Akechi Mitsuhide. Rather than recreating history literally, this work transforms it through WAKON’s own interpretation—portraying Nobunaga’s ambition, ferocity, aesthetics, contradictions, and his drive to reshape an age of turmoil. Above him flies the colossal Raven Dragon (Karasu-Ryū). This creature is not taken from historical legend. It is an original symbol created for this story, representing Nobunaga’s overwhelming ambition, the fear surrounding his rise, and the upheaval he brings to the world.
