Japanese lofi for the last nights of summer — shamisen, koto and shakuhachi
over slow beats, recorded to sound like an old tape found in a quiet house.
29 minutes for studying, reading, or simply sitting still.
This one is built differently.
It is a single melody, played ten times over — each time by a different
ensemble, each one crossfading into the next. Nothing restarts. Nothing
repeats the same way twice. It moves from a lone shamisen, through strings
and saxophone, into taiko at its loudest, then falls into near-silence
before coming home.
Listen to it as one piece if you can. It was made that way.
