Give me a brief history of avimukta datta peetham Brief History of Avimukta Datta Peetham Avimukta Datta Kshetra is regarded as an important centre in the Dattatreya tradition, associated with the ancient spiritual concept of Avimukta—that which is eternal and never forsaken. According to the traditional account, Lord Dattatreya gave his sacred Padukas to Nanda Maharaja, of the Pandava lineage, and these Padukas are worshipped here. It is also believed that Dattatreya imparted the Datta Sahasranama to Adi Shankaracharya at this sacred place. The site is associated with the Avimukteshwara Shiva Lingam, traditionally said to have been installed by King Muchukunda and later worshipped by Adi Shankaracharya.
