(Master Duel) FREEZE THE FESTIVAL! - Ice Barrier (Theme Chronicle 2026)

The Ice Barrier Dragons are basically at full power in this year's theme chronicle event, so it's time to FREEZE THIS FESTIVAL!!! The deck's entire gameplan revolves around summoning it's incredibly powerful boss monster, Lancea, Ancestral Dragon of the Ice Mountain. It can summon up to twice per turn Ice Barriers from hand, deck, extra deck of GY - and Ice Barrier has some pretty nasty floodgates that are guaranteed to freeze your opponent's gameplan solid! General Raiho is a field wide monster negate and handloop in one card, while Medium of the Ice Barrier limits your opponent to a singular spell per turn! This decklist is fairly consistent, with 11 one-card starters (x2 Hexa Spirit, x3 Revealer, x3 Ran Aegirine, x3 Medallion) and with multiple 2+ card starters when combining cards engine cards together. Ice Barrier's inherent weakness going second is fixed by the 18 handtraps used in this strategy. A certain combo also involves drawing 4 cards, so you can draw into a ton of handtraps while summoning floodgates to the field!
