When I Was A Boy

Cornwall County Choirs are premiering their next online choral project following the success of the "Cornwall My Home" virtual choir film that has been shared around the globe on social media since its launch on 26th April. The new project, When I Was A Boy, originally released by ELO includes boys from Cornwall Boys Choir and Cornwall County Youth Choir, plus invited singers making up a geographical representation of Cornwall’s historic Male Voice Choirs. We are delighted that members of City of Truro Male Choir, Eight In A Bar, Loveny Male Voice Choir, Mevagissey Male Choir, Oll an Gwella and Proper Job took part in this project. Cornwall is well known for its male voice choirs, and so we wanted to pay tribute to this vital part of Cornwall’s singing history while at same time link it with today’s young male singers in the county. Our thanks go to Sing Up who have granted Cornwall County Choirs permission to use their arrangement of When I Was A Boy.
