The middle and lower class of Protea North and Protea South in Soweto South Africa

Protea South will amaze you with huge modern houses in the middle of the lower class residency. The huge old houses were abandoned by white people many years ago and these were later occupied by coloured people. The coloured people later moved out due to a large number of blacks who were moving into the surrounding arrear erecting shacks. These huge yards are now housing a lot of shacks and most of the old houses are occupied by a lot of families which occupy the inside rooms per family.
