Evolution of the Powerpuff Girls (1992-2016)

The changes in the design of the characters and overall art style over 24 years Note: In the 1992 short, "Whoopass Stew", the Powerpuff Girls were called the "Whoopass Girls". Once the show officially aired, the creator of the show changed the name to "Powerpuff Girls", because the word "ass" could be deemed too inappropriate for young audiences. Originally, the show was meant to be targeted towards an older demographic. However, due too the targeted audience being a younger demographic later on, the name had to be changed from "Whoopass Girls" to "Powerpuff Girls".
