Gary Bromley (Dif Juz, The Children) Interview (10/16/25)

Gary Bromley is an English born bassist who played with instrumental post punk band Dif Juz from 1980 to 1986. The original lineup was Dave and Alan Curtis (guitars), Gary on bass and drummer and sax player Richard Thomas. During their time together, the band released a trio of albums, one issued on cassette. There were also a couple of singles and 2 compilations. Gary first moved to New York in 1991 and then relocated to Louisville, Kentucky in1994 There he founded dub band The Children and has played many live shows. In 2016 came a couple of recordings on the Assembly Field label. My guest still resides in Louisville, Kentucky and hosts a weekly radio show, Outernational With Sir Basil Bromley on ARTxFM. And Gary continues to release solo material that you can find on his Bandcamp sight.
