Meiringspoort ( Meirin's Pass ) ~ Swartberg Mountains , South Africa #southafrica #mountainpass

Driving the beautiful Meirin's Pass through the Swartberg Mountain range in the Western Cape , South Africa. This 25 Km route connects the Great Karoo a large semi-arid in the centre of the country to the Little Karoo to the south. One interesting fact was that little explosive was used in its construction in the mid 1800's instead they covered large boulders with piles of burning cleared brush and doused them with water to fracture them. #clever#roadtrip
