Fix Muddy Worship Vocals With a High-Pass Filter and EQ

A raw vocal mic at soundcheck usually sounds muddy. In this lesson from the MxU training library, we take one singer on a wireless Beta 58 and clean him up with two tools every console has: the high-pass filter and EQ. We start with the high-pass filter to clear out the low end and the pops. Then we cut the mud before we boost anything, and add just a little air at the end.
