Inspired by Matthew chapter 21, this song follows Jesus as He enters Jerusalem, fulfilling the prophecy spoken by the prophet and the multitude gathers around Him crying, “Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” From the triumphal entry to the cleansing of the temple, Jesus reveals His authority and reminds the people that His house should be called a house of prayer. Through the withered fig tree, Jesus teaches His disciples about faith and believing. As the chief priests and elders question His authority, Jesus responds with wisdom, revealing the hearts of those who hear His words but refuse to follow the will of God. Hosanna filled the streets.
