Brussels Dance Festival 2026 | Experience One Day at the Festival 💃🛸

‪@ExploreWithDeea‬ The Brussels Dance Festival 2026 took place from 14 to 23 August, bringing dance, music and live performances to the heart of Brussels. 🇧🇪💃 For 10 days, the city hosted dance performances, battles, workshops, concerts, DJ sets and participatory experiences, with events taking place across iconic locations including Bourse, De Brouckère, Place de la Monnaie and Hôtel de Ville. And many of the outdoor events were completely free! ✨ I decided to spend Saturday, 22 August, the second-to-last day of the festival, exploring it for myself, and this was my experience. ❤️ I started at Place de la Monnaie with BELGIGABARRE, a giant open-air classical ballet barre organised by Europa Danse Company, where beginners, amateurs and experienced dancers could all take part. 🩰✨ Then I headed to Place De Brouckère, where The Clubbing Jam Session – Battle brought house and hip-hop to the square, including an energetic 2v2 HxH dance battle. 🔥🎶 Later, I returned to Place de la Monnaie for Make Humanity Shine, an artistic collaboration between Protect Humanitarians and Les Sudakas, honouring humanitarian workers who have faced attacks, detention or persecution while helping others. ❤️✨ Then came the evening Closing Show at Bourse, with different artists and dance performances, including Les Estivales de la Danse and RISE, before the spectacular STARSaucer by The Dream Engine. 🛸✨ And STARSaucer was definitely the moment I won't forget: a giant alien flying saucer landed at Bourse, dancers emerged from it, and later the entire structure lifted above the audience while a beam of light searched the crowd. 🛸🤯 There were also the fun Skydancers around the festival and those mysterious alien-like characters that made the whole experience feel even more surreal. 👽😂 It was a full day of completely different dance styles, music, performances and unexpected moments, exactly the kind of experience I love discovering in Brussels. ❤️🇧🇪 Thanks for watching until the end!
