This Park Preserves the ruins of East Florida’s largest sugar mill and antebellum plantation during the 19th century. Come walk around the charred remnants of the sugar mill which is believed to be burned down in 1836 by Seminoles during the 2nd Seminole war. Built in 1821 by Charles Bulow. The plantation grew Sugar cane, rice, cotton and indigo using forced labor. #exploreflorida #floridahistory #sugarmills #plantation #19thcenturyhistory #1800s
