Mississippi Mud Cake

In our quest to make a recipe for each state in our good old USA, we are making a cake for Mississippi. It the delicious Mississippi Mud Cake. CAKE 2 cups sugar 1 cup butter, softened 4 eggs 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1/3 cup cocoa 2 tsp vanilla 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup nuts, chopped 1 small bag marshmallows FROSTING 1 stick utter 1/3 cup cocoa 1 box confectioner sugar 1/2 cup milk 1 tsp vanilla dash salt 1 cup nuts, chopped Grease and flour oblong pan and heat oven to 300. Mix cake ingredients - sugar, butter and eggs. Then blend in other ingredients except marshmallows. Cook in 300 degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and spread bag of marshmallows over top of cake. Return to oven for 10 minutes or until marshmallows melt. (watch closely) Mix icing ingredients - mix all icing ingredients and spread over COOL cake. Enjoy! Cooking is Music to the Soul!
