The Merciful and the Pure of Heart

The next two Beatitudes in Matthew 5:7-8 address the merciful and the pure of heart. Mercy is more than seeing the needs of those around us and feeling compassion but actively meeting those needs. And, to be pure in heart is to be so wholly devoted to God we see Him in all things and want to continue killing our sin. August 23, 2026
