The Lessons of August | Learning to Let Go

In this month's vlog I'm experimenting with growing violas for cut flowers, gathering some of my favourite August flowers to make an urn arrangement, and reflecting on the things I'm learning as the season begins to turn. After weeks of growing flowers in desperately dry weather, the wind constantly blowing over the parched fields, the rain has finally arrived! And almost overnight, the garden seemed to breathe again. Everything became greener, softer and significantly easier! But August has also been a month of learning for me. A time to pause, take stock and think about what the garden - and life alongside it - can teach us about change, patience and letting go. And as always I will take you for an adventure in Northumberland. Which is looking so beautiful right now on the cusp of Autumn. Thank you so much for being here. Love, Anna xx
