If you’re thinking about a few days away at Haggerston Castle, I hope this little video helps.
Rather than a detailed review, this is simply Haggerston through my eyes during a few peaceful July mornings in 2026. I head out for early runs before the park wakes up, passing the entrance, the shop, the boating lake, caravans for sale, quiet pathways, and plenty of swans and geese enjoying the calm.
Along the way there are a few unexpected moments too—spotting the members-only Boulder Lodge, discovering Herbie parked on a driveway, and taking in all those little details you only notice when you slow down.
I’ve also included a few memories from our break together, including a pedalo ride, a visit to Holy Island, a walk on the beach beneath Bamburgh Castle, and seeing Haggerston’s little train.
It isn’t a complete guide, and it isn’t meant to be. It’s simply a video diary of a lovely few days away that me, Mrs “Everyone’s Got a Story to Tell”, and our three Westies really enjoyed.
If this video helps you decide whether Haggerston Castle might be the right place for your own short break, then I’m glad I shared it.
Thanks for watching, everyones got a story to tell….this just happens to be mine.
