October 3, 2004-Expos vs. Mets (Final Montreal Expos Game) (TEAM 990-Montreal)

As the Oakland A's become the first MLB team since 2004 to relocate, we go back twenty years ago this weekend when the Montreal Expos played their final game before moving to Washington the following season. Appropriately, it was against the Mets at Shea Stadium like their first game in 1969 (which has been uploaded here). This is the Expos radio broadcast on TEAM 990, called by Elliot Price and Mitch Melnick. The broadcast closes with a montage of vintage clips during the playing of the Frank Sinatra song, "There Used To Be A Ballpark". Of all the last broadcasts of a franchise before relocation I have heard, this is only surpassed by Russ Hodges final sign-off of the NY Giants in 1957.
