Preparation of frozen tissue sections (Cryotomy)

While the sectioning of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue is the norm in most histology laboratories, sectioning of freshly-frozen tissue supports specialised tests in a fraction of the time. This video discussed these concepts while demonstrating the operation of a cryostat.
