About Chandratal
Chandratal (Moon Lake) is a crescent-shaped high-altitude lake situated at an elevation of approximately 4,300 metres (14,100 feet) in the Lahaul and Spiti district of Himachal Pradesh, India. The lake is famous for its crystal-clear waters that reflect the surrounding mountains and changing skies
How to Reach Chandratal
Via Spiti (Our Route)
Kaza → Losar → Kunzum Pass → Chandratal Parking → 1.5 km hike to the lake.
Via Manali
Manali → Rohtang Pass → Gramphu → Batal → Chandratal.
Best time to visit: June to September.

Chandra River – Originating near the Baralacha region, it flows through Lahaul and later joins the Bhaga River.
Bhaga River – Meets the Chandra River at Tandi to form the mighty Chenab River.
The name Chandratal itself translates to "Moon Lake", inspired by its crescent shape.
