‪@dontoliver‬ and ‪@malcolm_todd‬ discuss embracing the highs and finding beauty in the lows for Rolling Stone’s eighth annual Musicians on Musicians series. The pair became fast friends after Toliver sampled “Chest Pain (I Love),” from #malcolmtodd's 2025 self-titled debut album, on “E85.” Both artists are closing out major years. #dontoliver's January album Octane, has established him as an arena star alongside longtime collaborator Travis Scott. There’s also his recent run of Drake collaborations only adding to the scale of his reach. Todd’s “Earrings” has become a bona fide hit, and his Do That Again tour is taking him to his biggest venues yet. Together, they discuss keeping friendships intact as success changes their lives and turning sadness into music. Toliver also has an idea for what comes next: a proper collaboration.
