Hey everyone, it’s Alan here! In this episode of Stationeers, I’m tackling the challenge of building and launching a pumped gas rocket on the moon Mimas. 🌑
From figuring out how pumped engines actually work (spoiler: they draw fuel from the gas network!) to optimizing my rocket design for safety and efficiency, it’s been a journey full of trial and error. I upgraded to heavy cabling for durability, set up a gas mixing chamber, and even managed to streamline my umbilical connections.
🚀 Highlights in this video:
Rocket Improvements: Adjusted fuel ratios, optimized the gas mixer, and switched to medium cargo for better payload capacity.
Test Launches: Managed a successful ascent with enough thrust (15 kN!), though I’m still fine-tuning pressure and fuel mixing for better efficiency.
LArRE Bot Update: Fixed his quirky behavior—no more sugar cane sabotage!
Exploration Milestone: Reached Enceladus and started charting new destinations, including Titan!
Future Plans: Considering a small, efficient rocket design for fast, pre-mixed fuel missions.
Whether you’re here for the rocket science or just want to see me grapple with oxygen filtration and vending machine logistics, there’s plenty to enjoy in this episode.
