Shape Me in Your Likeness | Christian Devotional Song

Shape Me in Your Likeness - an English Christian devotional song and lyric video about sanctification, God's ongoing work of forming a believer into the likeness of Christ. This song meditates on the journey from the old, broken self to the new life Christ forms within us - from "It is not I who lives within, but Christ who lives in me" to a heart fully shaped by His grace. It draws on Galatians 2:20 and Romans 8:29, picturing the Lord as the patient sculptor who chips away the old and reveals His own likeness beneath. The song moves through the marks of sanctification: grace poured out, the old self decaying like stone, and a life renewed day by day through the Holy Spirit's work, not our own effort. Its closing prayer is that Christ would keep shaping us until His likeness is fully formed in us. Let's pray that the Lord continues His good work in each of us until it is complete. 0:00 Intro 0:13 Chorus | Lord Jesus, let Your grace pour through 0:31 Verse 1 | Lord, shape me in the likeness true 1:27 Verse 2 | You turn all things to good, my Lord 2:11 Verse 3 | Come, Spirit, burn my sin away 2:40 Verse 4 | When You are strong my fear must flee 3:10 Bridge | I give You now my mind and heart 3:37 Final Chorus | Lord Jesus, let Your grace pour through 4:16 Outro (Times are estimated) Lyrics: Chorus: Lord Jesus, let Your grace pour through, And fill my heart with light; Come, Holy Spirit, shape anew And turn my dark to bright. Verse 1: Lord, shape me in the likeness true, Renew this heart of mine; Let every word and deed I do So all my life may shine. Pre-Chorus: It is not I who lives within, But Christ who lives in me; (Chorus) Verse 2: You turn all things to good, my Lord, No tear I shed in vain; Each day by grace You shape me more Like Christ, Your Son, again. (Chorus) Verse 3: Come, Spirit, burn my sin away, Refine me pure as gold; Let my old way of sin decay, New life in Christ unfold. (Chorus) Verse 4: When You are strong my fear must flee, Your love will hold me fast; No grief, no death, can conquer me, Your love will always last. Bridge: I give You now my mind and heart, My every word and way; Let selfish pride each day depart While Jesus grows each day.
