Sonic.EXE: The Disaster was a Roblox video game series developed and published by Spanish video game developer OutLaik on the Roblox platform. It is based on and inspired by the 2011 creepypasta Sonic.exe by Jake Cranely, its accompanying fan games, and Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog franchise. In the games, players were put in two opposing teams: the EXEs and the survivors. The EXEs had to kill the survivors, while the survivors had to survive against the EXE team. The main Sonic.EXE: The Disaster games are survival games all developed by OutLaik alone; spin-offs include the role-playing games. The original Sonic.EXE: The Disaster was developed in 2020 as a passion project, and would later grow a large fan base as updates continued, becoming a rather prominent series in the EXE community. After five years of development, the series would come to an end on May 5, 2025, when Sonic.EXE: The Disaster (2024) was striked by Sega and thus deleted by Roblox, prompting the cancellation of the series.
