Ghost Funk Orchestra - To The Moon! [OFFICIAL AUDIO]

Pre-order our forthcoming album 'A Trip To The Moon' here: https://colemine.lnk.to/kcr12033 In 'To The Moon!,' the first single from Ghost Funk Orchestra’s space odyssey LP 'A Trip To The Moon', we hear a new found sophistication in big band horn arrangements. Seth Applebaum’s first time writing for big horn sections is a resounding success, utilizing full trumpet sections, trombone sections, and saxophone and woodwind sections. The song was a testing ground for Applebaum’s upward learning curve in this level of arrangement, as he taught himself by intently studying how arrangers like Quincy Jones and Eddie Palmieri used techniques such as spread voicing on the big band pop recordings which filled the hit parade in the space race era, a time when instrumentals rocked.
