Have a look at how to cast on stitches with a provisional cast on using a crochet hook and scrap yarn. WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS: With scrap yarn, create a slip knot and place it on the crochet hook. Hold the tail from the slip knot and a knitting needle in the left hand. *Move yarn behind the needle, pick up a loop with crochet hook going from front of the needle and over it, pull this loop through the stitch on the hook. Repeat from * until you've cast on the desired number of stitches. Make several chain stitches with the hook to finish the cast on, cut the scrap yarn and pull its tail through the last chain stitch, tightening to secure. Introduce project yarn and work cast on stitches according to the pattern. Provisional cast is easy to unravel and it allows to expose live stitches at the beginning of the project. It's useful for seamless knits and invisible joints. Thank you so much for watching and happy knitting! ♡ Ksenia / Life Is Cozy ⚘ SUBSCRIBE & TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS if you'd like to know when there's a new video! ⚘ FIND ME AND MY KNITTING PATTERNS HERE: Website https://lifeiscozy.com/ Ravelry https://www.ravelry.com/designers/kse...
