Preacher: Sammy Leballo Sermon Title: What Foundation Are You Building Your Life Upon Today? Sermon Text: Matthew 7:24-29 Introduction As Jesus brings the Sermon on the Mount to its conclusion, He leaves His hearers with a penetrating question: What foundation are you building your life upon? Jesus teaches that every person is building a life upon a foundation. The storms of life and the final judgement of God will reveal whether that foundation is secure. Therefore, the most important question we can ask ourselves is not whether we have heard the words of Christ, but we have obeyed them. At first glance, the builders appear remarkably similar. Both hear Christ's words. Both build houses. Both encounter the same storms. Yet one house stands while the other collapses. The difference is not what they heard but what they did with what they heard. Outline 1. The Similarities Between the Two Builders (vv. 24-27) 2. The Differences Between the Two Builders (vv. 24-27) 3. The Authority Behind the Warning (vv. 28-29) Summary Application: Christ calls us beyond mere profession and religious activity to wholehearted obedience. The wise builder is not the one who simply hears Christ's words, but the one who acts upon them. Therefore, examine your life and ask yourself: "What foundation am I building my life upon?" #moletsanebaptistchurch #Sola5 #reformedchurch #protestant #PreachChrist #soundchurchinsoweto #BibleChurch #JesusCommands #JesusHeals #christianlivingng #restoration #PreachtheWord #church #expositorypreaching #churchinsoweto #christian #churchfamily #baptist #reformedtheology #HolinessUntoTheLord #GodsPlan #love #solagratia #solachristus #SolaScriptura #SolaFide #SoliDeoGloria #churchinsowetomoletsanetladinaledi #salvation #JesusIsLord #holiness #jesussaves #HolinessIsStillRight #God #reformedbaptistchurch #TrustGod #GodsGrace #theology #GreatSalvation #Zealous #DevotedToGod #FaithfulGod #humility #GodsWord #salvation #mercifulservant #blessed #KingdomOfGod #Call #ChristLike #Christlikelove #righteousness #gospel #Christlikeness #knowledge #fruit #growing #standing #giving #bearing #praise #PraiseGod #wisdom #redemption #sactification #righteousness #worship #father #ChristBirth #birthofchrist #worth #humility #Son #divine #royal #human #king #everlasting #humility #pray #prayer #prayers #prayerlife #prayertime #prayerworks #Father #father #hallowedbethyname #saviour #compulsion #conversion #conversation #conviction #cure #commission #conquest
