Badly damaged Coffee Table - repair and re finish

I know its hard to beleive but this is the very same coffee table I made, only 8 months ago and in that short time its gone from looking good enough to pop your coffee and biscuits on to should be chopped up for fire wood. So I'm going to try and repair or restore it.
