A king turned to stone while listening for news. The news came. No one has ever broken the seal. Ninety minutes of dark epic orchestral ambience built around a ruined throne hall, overgrown with moss, where a stone king still leans forward with his hand raised to his ear and a sealed letter lies at his feet. Composed for deep, uninterrupted focus: ideal for writing epic fantasy, wargaming, solo TTRPG prep, or quiet reading in a hall that is still waiting. 📜 Archive Entry: Entry 001. The Throne of the Waiting King. The king sits leaning forward, so far that his stone back no longer touches the throne. The crown is still on his head. His right hand is raised to his ear, the fingers cupped, the way a man listens for a sound just beyond a door. He has been like this long enough for moss to climb the dais, for the roof to open to the sky and for the great doors to come off their hinges, and in all that time he has not turned his head toward any of it. At his feet lies a letter. The parchment is folded and the red wax seal is whole, dusted over like everything else in the hall. So the news did come. Someone carried it all this way, found the king as he is now, set the letter down at his feet and left it there. I did not break the seal. I do not think it was mine to break. Whatever is written there would have ended the waiting, and I wonder if that is why no one has opened it in all these years. A king who is still waiting is still a king.
