A request body arrives as one long string, and Node already has tools for turning it into a real object: URLSearchParams for form data and JSON.parse for JSON. But each one only understands its own format, and using the wrong one either quietly gives you nonsense or takes the whole server down. This episode uses both, and has the server read the Content-Type header to decide which one to use. No custom parser, and no framework. Part of a series building a real backend in Node from scratch.
