Oregon Coast 🌧️ Warm Americana Folk music mix

This one is a whole misty van day on the Oregon coast in seven songs — from Highway 101 in the morning fog to the sea stacks silhouetted against the last orange light. Track by track it's the day : driving the 101 with the wipers on their slowest setting (track 1), Haystack Rock emerging from the grey at Cannon Beach (track 2), the Sitka spruce forest that walks right down to the sand (track 3), hot honest coffee at a cedar-shingle crab shack where the woman behind the counter tells you where the whales come close (track 4), a grey whale passing a hundred yards off a gravel pull-off (track 5), the fog bank that swallows the whole beach while the guitar and fiddle carry (track 6, mostly instrumental), and the twenty warm minutes at dusk that pay back the whole grey day (track 7). Two things I worked on this time : every track now breathes — there are several short instrumental pauses in each song, not just one long break, so the voice isn't going non-stop. And the sound stays firmly Americana / country folk : fingerpicked steel-string guitar, upright bass, clawhammer banjo, pedal steel, fiddle, a little harmonica. No ukulele, no surf.
