New Jersey flooding is intensifying as a powerful nor’easter brings heavy rain, strong winds, coastal flooding and dangerous conditions across the state. New Jersey declared a State of Emergency across 8 counties ahead of the storm: Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Cumberland, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Salem. The National Weather Service has issued Coastal Flood Warnings for vulnerable areas, with some locations facing 1–2 feet of inundation above ground level. Along parts of the Jersey Shore, wind gusts could reach 50–55 mph, while dangerous surf and beach erosion remain major concerns.
