The Oath Remains is a cinematic fantasy anthem inspired by the Knights of Lastwall — warriors who continue their fight even after the fall of their homeland. With Lastwall shattered and the Gravelands haunted by the undead, their oath endures beyond walls, borders, and kingdoms.
This song is about duty surviving defeat, and the idea that a fallen nation can still live through those who refuse to abandon what it stood for.

"The Oath Remains"
The banners fell.
The gates were torn.
But an oath does not die with stone.
The towers fell beneath the night,
The roads were lost, the fields turned white,
The bells that called the watch to stand
Now echo through a broken land.
The walls that guarded generations
Could not survive the dead advancing,
Yet from the ruins, scarred and worn,
A different kind of wall was born.
No fortress waits behind us now,
No king commands, no stone allows.
We carry what the dead could never claim—
The wall is gone, the oath remains,
Through broken fields and blackened plains.
No throne, no keep, no sheltered flame—
Still Lastwall lives within our name.
Where hope is thin and shadows crawl,
We stand where once there stood a wall.
And though the dead may take the land,
They will not take the final stand.
The Tyrant rose, the border broke,
The living fled through ash and smoke.
But some turned back toward the cries,
And faced the dark with open eyes.
Not for a crown, not for reward,
Not for the glory of the sword,
But for the child who cannot run,
For every road beneath the sun.
No fortress waits behind us now,
So we became the fortress now.
Wherever darkness learns our name—
The wall is gone, the oath remains,
Through broken fields and blackened plains.
No throne, no keep, no sheltered flame—
Still Lastwall lives within our name.
Where hope is thin and shadows crawl,
We stand where once there stood a wall.
And though the dead may take the land,
They will not take the final stand.
Let the Gravelands remember us.
Let every empty road bear witness.
A wall can fall.
A city can burn.
A nation can vanish from the map.
But duty has no grave.
The wall is gone, the oath remains,
We carry light through haunted plains.
No throne, no keep, no sheltered flame—
Still Lastwall lives within our name.
From ruined roads to distant halls,
We answer every voice that calls.
And while one knight still takes a stand,
The dead shall never own this land.
The wall is gone...
The oath remains.
