Visiting Amsterdam is a truly special experience. The city is filled with charming old houses standing every which way, beautifully framed by canals, with bridges crisscrossing in every direction. Boats filled with tourists glide along the water in a never-ending stream. The capital of the Netherlands holds an immense charm and breathes history. Its historic 17th-century houses lean in all directions because the ancient wooden piles they rest on have seen better days, meaning the city is under constant renovation. Amsterdam is home to 50 museums. Here are just a few of them: the Van Gogh Museum, Rijksmuseum, Stedelijk Museum, the Rembrandt House Museum, Anne Frank House, Our Lord in the Attic (Ons' Lieve Heer op Solder), the Jewish Museum, NEMO Science Museum, the Heineken Experience, and Micropia. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle, there are plenty of parks to visit, featuring winding canals surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers. The largest park is Vondelpark. For those looking for a thrill, you can swing on a giant swing with a view of the entire city at A'DAM Lookout. Amsterdam in the Netherlands is an experience you will remember for a lifetime.
