20 Biggest Creatures Ever Spotted on Camera | Deadliest Congo Animals These are the 20 deadliest Congo animals, ranked by one question: if you walked into the Congo Basin today, which animal would be most likely to kill you? The Amazon is bigger and more famous. But the Congo Basin holds the deepest river ever measured, a fish that other fish fear, a mamba that lives in the trees, and a river giant that kills more people than any other wild animal there. Every one of these Congo animals is real, and every number comes from field studies and health data. You'll also find out why the hippo, the animal many people call Africa's deadliest, is not number one, and which tiny animal kills more people in the DR Congo than everything else on this list combined. From the rivers of the Congo Basin to its forest floor, here is what lives there. Which of these Congo animals would you least want to meet? Tell us in the comments.
