Ganzi Tibetan autonomous prefecture in western Sichuan : Part 7

"Garzê" is written in Tibetan script as: དཀར་མཛེས།. Meaning: Literally "white and beautiful." Ganzi (Garzê) is a beautiful Tibetan area full of monasteries, snow-capped peaks, and rich culture. It's officially called: 甘孜藏族自治州 (Gānzī Zàngzú Zìzhìzhōu) Meaning: Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. My wife's uncle lives here, and we have visited several time in the past. One of the most beautiful places in China, this was the destination of this road trip, and it never fails to impress. Hope you like it as much as we do!
