Brutal Arctic Landscape Photography

I spent 3 weeks in Lofoten, Norway leading landscape photography workshops — but before they began, I had a small window to shoot purely for myself. What followed were some of the most brutal conditions I’ve ever worked in. Freezing winds, blowing snow, and near white-out conditions made even standing still a challenge, never mind trying to create images. But as landscape photographers, these are often the moments that offer the most potential… if you’re willing to endure them.
