Psalm 44 - Rise Up, Our King Verse 1; We’ve heard the stories our fathers told, How You made a way in days of old. You drove out giants with Your mighty hand, Planted Your people in a promised land. It wasn’t swords that won the fight, It was Your love and holy might. Lord, every blessing that we’ve known Has come from You and You alone. Chorus: So rise up, our King, don’t hide Your face, We’re still standing by amazing grace. When the road gets long and the night falls down, You’re the only hope that we’ve found. We won’t trust in our strength or what we can do, Our victory has always come from You. Lord, hear our cry, come rescue again, Rise up, our King, be our strength, our friend.
