Emerging and disruptive technologies: next-generation communications

NATO has identified next-generation communications networks, such as 5G, as one of nine emerging and disruptive technologies (EDTs). Like other EDTs, these networks are changing the world and the way NATO operates, and present both opportunities and risks.
