This year’s Law Day, held on May 1, marked the launch of a statewide classroom pledge by the Washington State Bar Association, the Administrative Office of the Courts, and the Washington Supreme Court. The pledge encourages lawyers across Washington to visit classrooms and teach civics lessons on or around Constitution Day, September 17, helping to strengthen civic understanding and support the future of our judiciary. Patric and Marie discuss what makes the program meaningful, the most rewarding aspects of participating, advice for attorneys who may want to take the pledge, how classroom visits benefit students, and how lawyers can prepare curriculum before visiting a school.
