I am falling in love with doing saving challenges and have them broken up between the larger challenges, scratch off challenges, mini’s and now to introduce Box Saving Challenges really helps in drawing focus to different areas in my life. I am a corporate worker and my family consists of a loving husband who I have been married to for 10 years this year. A four year old little boy who is in kindy and everyday is an adventure with him. My fur baby Mr T (Maltese-Shitzu) has my heart. I started my journey in 2021 when I had to cut my maternity leave short and put my son into daycare at 6 months because we ran out of money and were worried on how we will pay the mortgage. We just didn’t save enough. I wanted to change and change I did. I followed some amazing YouTubers and started my cash stuffing journey. But after 2 years I thought I had enough of a good base and thought I didn’t need it. But I stopped everything and allowed lifestyle creep to set in. You see in order to change I chased promotions, change jobs, worked on getting a salary that I deserve, and my husband picked up a second gig which required him to spend many weekend on this gig. However when he hit some goals we didn’t keep on the course, we allowed ourselves to fall off and told ourselves we deserve to spend. We need direction, we need check ins, we need accountability and so after much anxiousness, nervousness but with a lot of grace I am taking the chance to come back. I have nothing to loose but if this works again I will do so much better for me and my family.
