Stockport Town Centre Walk

We begin our walk in Stockport Town Centre at the entrance of Merseyway Shopping Centre, take a quick stroll through, and head down to the River Mersey. From there, we walk up Vernon Street to reach Stockport Market Hall, exploring the stalls inside and outside. Continuing past St Mary’s Church and down Market Place, we follow Bridge Street Brow onto Bridge Street and Princes Street, passing Redrock and The Light. The walk ends at Mersey Square, overlooking Stockport Interchange and The Plaza. Stockport is a town in Greater Manchester, England, known for its industrial history, especially hat-making.
