【Ethnographic Documentary】Disenchantment: Lost Youth in the Fortress

Exploring art and life through my camera: A Contemporary North China Village Opera Troupe. This ethnographic documentary is based on three years (2023–2026) of intermittent fieldwork with a privately run Jinju opera troupe in Zhangjiakou. It follows young performers as they transition from rural touring performances to commercial cultural tourism amid an economic downturn.
