MATHUR EAST PALAKKAD - THERUVATHUPALLI NERCHA - 2013 - (1)

The annual Nercha (offerings) to the Masjid - Theruvathupalli - is the only major event, festival, for all people, of all religions in this part of the world. Hindus, flock to the Masjid for worship and nercha offerings during the festival time for blessings. People flock from the neighbourhood Tamilnadu in their decorated bullock carts camping here for the blessings from Masjid, and it is the belief that the prasadam (sweet cake, halwa) taken from the Masjid will keep their farmlands flourishing in their native place, and the cattle and animals free of disease. Here in this video, Sathya Sai Samidhi is seen reaching out to the Masjid with their Nercha, offerings, of Appam (sweet) and Sai Sarvamadha Bhajan, singing and paraising Allah.......
