What happens during Yogic Shaktipat? Can Kundalini Mahashakti be awakened in a single day? And how should one pursue spiritual progress while fulfilling worldly responsibilities?
In this video, Siddhayogi Dashrath Bapu demonstrates Yogic Shaktipat on a visitor, followed by a profound conversation about meditation, spiritual energy, Kundalini awakening, and the path toward God-realization.
Bapu begins by explaining that physical energy can be developed and balanced through exercises such as rope jumping, pull-ups, and jogging. Similarly, meditation is necessary to balance mental energy.
But what does it truly mean to meditate?
Bapu asks the visitor whether he understood what happened to him during the experience. He explains that others may understand what happened, but if the person himself understands exactly what occurred, then it is not meditation.
He compares the experience to holding a live, high-voltage electric wire. Bapu explains that during meditation, a kind of current begins to flow within the body, entering from outside. However, the mind absorbs this current along the way, preventing one from experiencing its full intensity. Without the mind standing in the way, one could experience an abundant flow of this current.
When asked about his experience, the visitor recalls briefly opening his eyes and feeling a soothing coolness entering his body.
Another visitor then observes that the soul is already aware and enlightened, and asks Bapu whether what he just demonstrated was Shaktipat (Yogic Energization).
Bapu confirms that he has initiated the visitor's Kundalini Mahashakti. He explains that if the visitor practices meditation daily, his motor-inter-sensory will become activated, pointing toward the nose and the center between the eyes as he speaks.
To explain Shaktipat, Bapu uses a simple analogy: inserting a key into a car's ignition and starting its engine.
The engine has started, but now the driver must shift into first gear and begin driving! Similarly, the seeker must practice meditation regularly to continue progressing on the spiritual path.
Bapu then affectionately remarks that he does not know why he has developed such a liking for the visitor. He finds him loving, a nice person, and different from worldly people.
He further explains that during Shaktipat, he adjusted the timing of Ida (Moon channel, associated with the left nostril), Pingala (Sun channel, associated with the right nostril), and Sushumna (central channel along the spine), visually indicating their locations.
He had simply tested whether the ignition key would work — and it worked!
The conversation then turns toward the possibilities of deeper Kundalini awakening.
Bapu explains that Kundalini can be awakened in a single day. On the day of Shivratri, if one receives a powerful Shaktipat, Kundalini Mahashakti can awaken, pierce through the Brahmarandhra, and even transcend it.
He explains that techniques exist to awaken every center within the body, but one must find someone capable of activating those centers.
Yet, after describing these possibilities, Bapu turns to an equally important aspect of spiritual life.
He asks the visitor to promise that he will continue fulfilling his everyday responsibilities, caring for his family, and performing his duties. Whatever time remains, even if it is only one percent, can be dedicated to Bapu and spiritual progress.
Bapu cautions against abandoning family responsibilities in pursuit of spiritual practice. He explains that a brother must fulfill his responsibilities toward his sister, a husband toward his wife, and a son toward his parents.
Fulfill your responsibilities one hundred percent, and dedicate whatever time remains to meditation and spiritual progress. Then, one day, you will certainly realize God.
Bapu concludes by explaining that those who run away from their responsibilities become caught in confusion and dilemmas.
Through this Yogic Shaktipat demonstration and the conversation that follows, Siddhayogi Dashrath Bapu explains the initiation of Kundalini Mahashakti, the experiences of meditation, the significance of regular practice, and the importance of fulfilling one's worldly duties while progressing toward God-realization.
