Shane Never Understood the Bigger Picture

Shane Walsh died in Season 2 of The Walking Dead. Somehow, over a decade later, people are still debating whether he was right. Was Shane actually ahead of everyone else? Was he a better leader than Rick? Did Rick eventually become Shane? Or did Shane simply adapt to one version of the apocalypse and mistake it for the answer to everything? In this video, I break down Shane Walsh, his relationship with Rick and Lori, Otis, the barn, his ideas of masculinity and leadership, and the famous argument that Shane was already “on Season 5” while everyone else was still on Season 2. Shane knew how to survive civilization ending. The question is whether he ever could’ve helped build something afterward. #TheWalkingDead #ShaneWalsh #RickGrimes #twd #twdtelltale #psychology #masculinity #mentalhealth Intro 0:00 PILLAR 1 — SHANE WAS RIGHT 0:36 PILLAR 2 — THE BIGGER PICTURE 4:07 PILLAR 3 — THE MYTH OF SHANE WALSH 7:06 PILLAR 4 — MIRRORS 10:22
